Ooooops!

Things that have broken this year: our car, and it took seven, yes, seven, weeks to be repaired. Then the toaster died. Not the biggest deal in the world, I agree. But now I've just gone and dropped my relatively new phone on the floor and the screen has gone all weird. Sigh. I know it's just stuff, and trust me I'd rather my phone broke than anything horrible happened to an actual person but it is such an inconvenience. And I'm just a little bit cross with myself for dropping it in the first place. Not the first time today I wish I had an 'undo button'. This morning I asked the stupidest question on a tour of a prospective school for my son. Spent the rest of the morning squirming at how my mouth engages without consulting my brain first! One of those days I guess!

  1. Don't worry, we all have those days, they probably never gave your stupid question a second thought! And now 3 things have broken you're done...so cheer up, tomorrow will be fab to compensate :) xx

    1. Thanks Dawn :-) Mr O is home from work, the kids have been fed and I've a glass of wine waiting for me, so things are looking up already. x

  2. I feel for you. Its how it always happens all at once.
I dropped my new phone the other day on to the only bit of concrete floor in our house. My children found delight in the fact that it was me that dropped it and smashed the screen and not them, "mummy your always telling us to be careful and to not drop it" I could have screamed and cried at the same time but for once no sound came out!
As for speaking before thinking, I often replay moments over and over in my mind wondering why I said what I did, unfortunately for me its not getting any better with age!!
Hope things improve very quickly, Jenny x

    1. Thanks for the lovely comment Jenny :-) Today has been better, thankfully. I'm the same as you: I replay cringey moments over and over again and torture myself. Honestly, us humans are a strange lot ;-) x

  3. On a positive note, how awesome is that print!!!

Seriously, we all have those days, those little things are really quite annoying, especially when it's one little thing after another. I dropped my iPhone cover just a week after I got my new phone and had to live with it for a whole 2 years before the contract ran out and I got a replacement - just a little thing but really very annoying. Oh, and I'm still cringing over things I said and did weeks ago!

Hope you're having a lovely start to the new week. Mel x

  4. We all have those days! I am queen of saying stupid or inappropriate things, I really am. I'm so clumsy that my husband bought me a rubber phone cover that sort of bounces and it's just as well he did as my phone seems to fall off every surface I put it on. x

  6. Well they do say things come in threes. And if it's any consolation , I cracked the screen of my iPad within hours of getting it as a special birthday gift. Luckily I had taken out one of those insurance policies that cover everything.
